However, Spanish outlet Diario Gol claim Barcelona’s No10 could actually cost them the 23-year-old’s signature.

Dybala is said to be wary of playing in the same team as Messi, who influences life in Catalonia.

The Argentina forward knows that, should he move to Barcelona, he will have to keep the club’s talisman happy.

He has experienced life alongside Messi at international level and doesn’t want to be usurped by his countryman.

And this works out well for Madrid.
